Walk for Free! Experience the dramatic scenery and salty scent of the fresh air on The Cliff Walk in Kilkee's West End. Explore the easily accessible trails going east and west along the tip of the Loop Head Peninsula starting at the car park at the Lighthouse at Loop Head. Thousands of pairs of nesting seabirds, such as guillemots, kittiwakes and razor bills come to the ledges on this headland each year. Hares are often spotted, as well. The scenery on the Loop Head Peninsula is absolutely spectacular, and there won't be the crowds you meet in other scenic spots.

Snorkel for free! The Pollock Holes in Kilkee's West End are natural deep swimming pools rich with sea life to be explored with a mask and snorkel. (Rent wetsuits and gear at the Kilkee Dive Centre-see below)

Walking Trail at Loop Head
Park at the Lighthouse carpark and stretch the legs on pathways that lead to the very tip of the peninsula and back along the cliffs to the nesting bird colonies. Dolphins, whales and seals are common sites, as well as, nesting seabirds on the craggy cliff ledges and Irish Hares in the bog landscape.
