Dolphinwatch Carrigaholt Directions

Where is Carrigaholt, County Clare?

Carrigaholt is a destination point on the Wild Atlantic Way on the Loop Head Peninsula - Winner of the Irish Times Best Place to Holiday in Ireland Competition!

In Ireland, your navigation system is likely to take you as the crow flies! So, please try to follow the road signs from Kilkee on. Take the R487 from Kilkee and follow the road signs for Dolphinwatch and Carrigaholt (R488), 10 kms. southwest of Kilkee. Your destination is the Castle Pier in Carrigaholt. There are two piers in Carrigaholt but the one you want is the pier next to the Castle. Drive through the village crossroads, up past the church and school and take the next left. It is signposted. There is a big free car parking area before the pier. Plenty of room for motorhome parking, too.

If you are relying on public transport, you should stay in our area for at least one night, as the buses are not that frequent...
